On Saturday we flew to Luxor. There, we moved for 4 days on a mini-cruiser.

On the next day we visited the Valley of the Kings and HatshepsutTemple. In the afternoon we visited the Luxor and Karnak Temple. In the evening we drove with the ship towards south.

On the next day we visited in the almost perfectly preserved Edfu Temple of Horus. After an extensive tour, we sailed to Kom Ombo. There we visited the twin temples of Sobek and Horus the old man. At the same time, we were able to photograph a beautiful sunset. During the night the ship went to Aswan.

There, we took on the next day a boat trip to the Philae Temple of Isis. In the afternoon we visited a Nubian village and were able to watch the Egyptian daily life.

On the next day (Wednesday) we had to leave Nile cruiser and flew to Abu Simbel. There we visited the great temple of Ramses II. Then we flew to Cairo. There we moved into our rooms in a 5 star hotel.

On Thursday we visited the Egyptian Museum. In the afternoon we visited two famous mosques and a famous bazaar (3 days later a bomb exploded there).

On Friday we visited the pyramids of Giza and also undertook a short camel ride (see picture). After lunch we visited the Step Pyramid of Sakkara.

On Saturday we flew back to Austria.
